Masterclass in Societal Security

The ASSERT Masterclass training exercise has been used by the VIDEOSENSE project consortium for Societal Impact Assessment training at a Spring School in Nice on April 16, 2014. Prof. Dr. Touradj Ebrahimi, Multimedia Signal Processing Group, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, and a partner of the VIDEOSENSE consortium, about the ASSERT Masterclass Experience:

“The presentation session was both well structured, clear, informative. The hands-on session was concrete and very for an in-depth understanding of the concepts presented during the presentation session, as it allowed participants to apply the Societal Impact Assessment methodology discussed to a practical and interesting situation.”

Participants in the ASSERT Database will include academics, practitioners, policy-makers, end-users, European Commission research evaluators and others working in the field of societal security: keep up to date with latest developments in societal security, interact and share knowledge with other experts, identify new research and collaborative opportunities, participate in a fully funded certified Masterclass in Societal Security, and have access to latest tools and techniques for assessing the social impacts and consequences of security systems and practices.
